Room Rates Rooms that share a connecting bathroom with the room next door are our lowest price rooms: $100/night. These rooms are available with one or two queen beds. A pair of these rooms is ideal for a family: two adjoining rooms with the bathroom in between the rooms, queen bed in one room and two queen beds in the other room. Call or email us with the size of your family or group and we will be happy to help you with specific recommendations and price options. Rooms with private bathrooms (all ensuite) are $125/night. Two of these rooms each have a king size bed. The others are available with one or two queen beds. Room rates are $155/night for:
During fall foliage from September 21, 2013 to October 13, 2013, and holiday periods including President's Day week from February 15 through 24, 2013, and Christmas week from December 24, 2013 through January 2, 2014, a room with a shared bathroom is $125, a room with a private bathroom is $165, and a suite is $185. Cabins are $185/night from September 21, 2013 through the end of October. All those prices are for one or two people and include full cooked breakfast each morning (home made breads and muffins such as pumpkin/cranberry bread, lemon bread, blueberry muffin; a fruit course such as fresh fruit sundae, glazed bananas, fruit compote; and a main dish such as applesauce pancakes, ricotta-stuffed french toast, Vermont cheddar pie, and others). Each extra person in a room is $20/night. Room tax of 9% is extra. When comparing prices, please note we do not have add-on charges such as any type of fees or gratuities. After making a reservation, you will receive an confirmation email summarizing your total in writing. There will be no surprise charges when you check out. When comparing our rates with other facilities, please make sure they are offering the same charges especially when it comes to service fees, gratuities, etc. - we've heard guests tell us of amazing and expensive surprises at other places. Discounts Only one discount per stay. Discounts not available during holiday or fall foliage periods. Extended stay: there is an extended stay discount of 10% for stays of four nights or more. Public service: we give a 5% discount for anyone who wears a service uniform: military, fire, police, EMT. For our packages, we deduct the 5% from the lodging portion of the package. And thanks for your service! Stanford University research project on protein folding to help cure many diseases including cancer, Alzheimers, Parkinsons, etc. Sign up for the Grunberg Haus team number 38019 and we will give you a $0.50 discount for each work unit up to a maximum of 50 units for the team. It's easy to download the software and let your computer do the work in the background when you are not using it. Policies Check-in time is any time after 3:00 pm. Check-out time is 11:00 am. We are a non-smoking facility but smokers are welcome to go out in the parking lot to smoke. We do not allow open flames such as candles or incense. We do not have television - this helps create a quiet, relaxing, and enjoyable stay for all our guests. We have wireless internet access but we have found that a few computers cannot connect - they are usually company computers that have stricter security limitations installed on them. We do not allow guests to use our computer but we offer free wireless web connection if you would like to bring your laptop or wireless device. As required by our insurance company, the VT Department of Health, and the state Fire Marshall, guests cannot use the kitchen. There is a microwave oven and refrigerator guests are welcome to use in the game room. We take VISA or Master Card credit cards. Or you may pay in cash or travelers checks, or a combination. We do not take Discover or American Express cards, personal checks, or money orders. Note 15 day cancellation period - we are too small to provide trip insurance so for a cancellation or shortened stay for any reason within 15 days of arrival, we will try to resell the accommodation but if we cannot, we charge for the entire amount of the reservation. Cancellations received 16 or more days in advance of the reservation have a $20 processing fee. These policies will be stated in the confirmation letter sent by email or USPS letter. As mentioned, we do not offer travel insurance so we suggest you contact an insurance company such as http://www.travelguard.com/ or another company to obtain it if you would like, not only for our part of the trip but any other part such as airline tickets and other lodging as well.
